Terms & Conditions + Privacy

PeopleBrowsr is taking shape, real people from different online communities are set to use it. We need rules, terms & conditions and a privacy policy. That's what we're working on, right now.

We asked to a group of web users from different communities how they would like PeopleBrowsr to handle privacy.

The main idea will be that all the rules existing on the supported social networks will also apply to PeopleBrowsr, with all personal privacy settings maintained.

The Reply Option

The 'Gallery' looks awesome and is getting better and better. It's still pretty slow to load, but people like it. We can now watch feeds from all over. They appear in popping bubbles, and man are those bubbles appetizing.

Our test users - an amazing group of students from the university of Sydney - said: "Reading live extracts of conversations makes us want to reply".
"Reply?", you say. Cool, we set up the reply option.

Defer Early Launch For Facebook And iPhone

Since Facebook said 'No access to the wall', we have to start the Facebook thing all over again. We'll take what we've done, put more work into it and adapt it.
And we're building an iPhone version of PeopleBrowsr. That's taking some more time, but it's completely worth it.

Apple Launches Safari 3.0

At the 2007 Worldwide Developers Conference , on June 11, Steve Jobs announced Safari 3: a fantastic web browser, set to offer new incredible features such as improved searching within web pages, drag and drop tabs and more.
Apple took just a few days of debugging, after release, to improve performance and security. Amazing.
PeopleBrowsr works awesome in Safari 3.0, it's fast and smooth and we can't wait for version 3.1.
Go Apple Team!

E-mail To Facebook Engineer

We have something cool, a universal tool and we're proud of it. And we can't wait to run it. It's going to be a wonderful application for Facebook. So we wrote an enthusiastic e-mail to the Facebook engineering team and to the Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg.

But no answer from Zuckerberg and disappointment from the engineer team. PeopleBrowsr is not allowed to access Facebook Wall.

Facebook Platform Is Launched

Mark Zuckerberg just had his f8 conference. He spoke to 800 developers at the San Francisco Design Center, announcing the launch of Facebook Platform, the development environment for building social applications within Facebook. He gave us a taste of the applications it will enable people to create. We love Facebook and this fantastic idea and want PeopleBrowsr to be a part of it. We're going to present our first demo.

Senior Designer Has A Break Down

We're so excited about this dream becoming a reality, so we're working very hard. Maybe too hard. Our designers are creating day and night to keep up with the developers' requests. That's probably why our senior designer, overloaded, just had a nervous break down.

How We Are Doing It : New Internet Trends

Broadband, AJAX , APIs, OpenSource, smart browsers , low cost servers have all come together at the right time for PeopleBrowsr.com. Smart browsers and AJAX give our developers the tools to rapidly respond to mouse clicks without always going back to remote servers.Facebook, Craigslist, Twitter, Tumblr and the guys at Google are inspiring us to use

RSS. RSS feeds provide a rich form of up to date content from real people. No longer do we have to rely on the media moguls or large websites for interesting data. The best and the coolest now comes from all of us - normal web users with something to say on the web.Google, Twitter, YouTube, and a small group of other leading web companies are releasing

APIs, allowing developers like us to access and publish their information. We're loading our application up onto low cost and fast servers at softlayer and Amazon S3. Starting with a cluster of four servers with two terrabytes of storage and eight terrabytes of Internet bandwidth.
