Community Development

Thanks to all of you for using PeopleBrowsr Alpha and for sending us great feedback.
We read all your tweets and all your messages and here is what we did in the last days:@ Tylergillies wrote: 'If there is a # hashtag in the post and the post gets split up due to length, put the # hashtag at the end of all post segments so all of the segments show up for # hashtag search'.
Done! Now, if there is a # hashtag in the post and the post gets split up, the # hashtag is replicated on both bits of the post.

PeopleBrowsr Wins Graphing Social Patterns AppNite Demo Contest

Washington DC – Graphing Social Patterns.Big smiles : today we won with PeopleBrowsr the AppNite competition for Facebook applications.
We’ve all been working over the week-end and late on Monday-Tuesday to get things done for this first very big demo : five hundred people in the audience, looking at our product for the first time.

Jodee was in Washington presenting, the rest of us stayed here in Sydney testing and making sure that everything was working fine.
Man, we were nervous.

What We Love On Internet

Monday morning, Sydney CBD, three cups of steaming-hot coffee and a few words on the week end:
- G'day, mates, happy to be back at 287, Elizabeth Street
- It's getting cold, in Sydney
- Yeah but it's still nice, I went surfing, yesterday

Cross-network Data: Portability Is The Best For Users

Do you have a Facebook account?
What's in it? Your pictures, your personal information, your friends list...?
Ehy, we said 'your' three times. It sounds like that data belongs to you.
And what's up if you go somewhere else?
Can you take your data with you?
Google says yesFacebook says no (not completely, at least). And that's why they are arguing.
